V-day: Free Ben & Jerry's Americone Dream on Feb. 14, 5-8 p.m.

Here's the first of the Valentine's Day freebies! Ben & Jerry's will be giving away free scoops of Stephen Colbert's own flavor, Americone Dream, on Feb. 14 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

You'll want to make sure your local store is participating, of course. You wouldn't want to have to buy your sweetheart a full-priced cone!

Today is Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry's! That's right, free ice cream cones for all, in your choice of flavors, from noon to 8:00 pm today. Find a store near you — or five — and plan your frozen, sugary binge.

Sadly, Seattleites, we don't have a lot of participating options... looks like the most central one is the Green Lake location, though there are a few in Kirkland and Southcenter and such. If your travels take you near one today, though, enjoy a free cone on my behalf!

BOGO ice cream at Ben & Jerry's.

End of "summer" getting you down? Well, even if you're not headed back to school, Ben & Jerry's is offering a BOGO treat to turn your frown upside down: buy one ice cream cup or cone and get the second free!

This coupon is a little vague and doesn't give an expiration date or anything, so I'm not 100% sure it's valid for everybody (you know how mad companies get when their special-customer-only coupons go viral, and they refuse to honor them).  But if you and a friend have been craving ice cream, it might be worth a try...

I'm a little confused about this sample offer, because I feel like you can walk into any ice cream shop normally and ask for a couple of free samples on those little mini-spoons. But maybe "free sample of Bonnaroo Buzz" means something else in this case, like a small cup or kiddie cone? That's just speculation on my part, but it is SCIENTIFIC FACT that tomorrow, May 4, Ben & Jerry's will be having a Bonnaroo Buzz Flavor Release Party from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, with free ice cream samples, music by Bonnaroo artists, and free giveaways.

Find a participating location near you and get ready to rock out with your cones out.

For some reason, this offer just seems slightly creepy to me. Maybe it's the wording of the offer from Ben & Jerry's, explaining why Maple Blondie ice cream cones are $1 today: "We're so proud of our favorite Maple Blondie, Hannah Teter, for bringing home the silver! Let's celebrate in true Ben & Jerry's fashion." Does that mean she's a Canadian blonde athlete or something? I don't know, it just sounds a teensy bit sketchy-uncle.
