Tanga: 1-year Budget Travel subscription, $1.99.

It's been a while since we've seen a Tanga magazine deal, but they're always good, and this is no exception: $1.99 for a 1-year subscription to Budget Travel! Sounds like a wise investment to me... and you can order up to 3 years at this rate. Just use promo code BUDGET when you're checking out.

Bon voyage!

Tanga: 1-year Family Circle subscription, $4.

It's been a while since we've seen a Tanga magazine deal, but just in time for Mother's Day, they're back. Get a 1-year subscription to Family Circle for just $4 using promo code FAMILY.

A nice gift for your favorite mom... and she doesn't have to know it was such a bargain.

Amazon: 2 magazine subscriptions for $15.

Amazon's 2-subscriptions-for-$15 offer rolls on through Feb. 28, but it seems to me that they've added some titles, so I thought I'd post it again. I mean, I don't remember Urban Farm, Reptiles Magazine, or Horse Illustrated on there, but I could be wrong.

Delight your favorite urban equestrian snake breeder with a brace of subscriptions today!

Burt's Bees: $25 grab bag, free moisturizing kit with $30 purchase.

Burt's Bees is still running their half-off grab bag special — get a random assortment of 12 products, a $50 value, for $25. Plus, with promo code MOISTURE, you can also get a free moisturizing kit with a $30 purchase, so you just need to add on $5 more.

This Overnight Bee-uty Bag fits the bill, at $6 (originally $15), a cute little makeup bag stuffed with travel-size beauty products. Or this Purse Pack, for $7.50, which comes stuffed with your choice of four lip balms.

Valentine's Day is coming, and what better gift than keeping your loved one's lips smoochably soft?

(Thanks, Mom!)

Tanga: 1-year Flex subscription for $3.

I have to say, I'm not entirely sure why Tanga is so coy with their magazine subscription deals. It's not like anyone is going to go to the site and say, "Awesome, I was just thinking how much I wanted to pay $40 for a subscription to FLEX magazine!" and then be all surprised when they discover a promo code that makes it $3. I just don't get it.

Anyway, you can get a 1-year subscription to FLEX magazine for $3 using promo code FLEX. You can buy up to a 3-year subscription at that rate, if that's something you're in to.

Tanga: 1-year WIRED subscription for $3.99.

Tanga has a magazine deal today that's pretty good - a one-year subscription to Wired magazine for just $3.99. Use promo code WIRED when you check out to get the super-discount. I need another monthly magazine like I need a hole in the head, but it's soooo cheap!

Reminder: Starbucks BOGO holiday drinks through Nov. 21, 2-5 pm.

If you'll be running around town like a crazy person this weekend getting turkey dinner prep, don't forget that you can get BOGO holiday drinks at Starbucks now through Sun., Nov. 21, from 2 to 5 pm. That turkey can take care of itself in the trunk for a few minutes while you double-fist some eggnog lattes.

...Or, you know, share one with a friend.

There's also something called the "12 Days of Sharing," so when you text 12DAYS to 29943, you'll automatically receive some sort of coupon-code text every day from Dec. 1 – 12. That's all I know about this one, but if you're a coffee lover, it might be worth it to see what the sweet deal of the day is.

Borders: Free $10 gift card when you spend $50 in gift cards.

Borders has another deal today, this one on gift cards... buy $50 worth of gift cards at Borders.com (either as one $50 card or two $25 cards) and you'll get a free $10 gift card.

If you have some hard-to-shop-for people on your list - and who doesn't? - this is an easy way to make sure they'll get something they like. If you go for two $25 cards, plus the free $10 card, that's two holiday gifts down PLUS a nice thank-you gift for a coworker, postal worker, building manager, etc.

PRO TIP: If you're ready for advanced freebie ju-jitsu, remember that you can also use these gift cards yourself, combined with all those juicy 40% off coupons. Which means your gift-buying budget will go 40% further, AND you'll get that free $10 gift card too!

I think I may have just talked myself into this one... it's an occupational hazard.

Burt's Bees: 50% off men's and women's holiday grab bags.

Burt's Bees is running another one of their grab bag deals, and this time there's even something for the fellas!
  • Women's holiday grab bag - $25 ($50 value): 12 of their regular products, including some full-size bottles! In a cute gift bag.
  • Men's grab bag - $15 ($30 value): 6 products, including a Mini Black Dopp Bag, Men’s Aftershave and All in One Wash.
They're also offering free shipping with a $40 purchase, so if you get one of each, you're set. Don't forget, with so many items in each set, they can easily be broken up to make multiple smaller gifts or stocking stuffers!

Amazon: Sunset magazine for $5.

Here's a nice gift for the homeowner in your life... a one-year subscription to Sunset magazine for just $5. Based right here in Seattle, this magazine has lots of tips for homeowners, landscaping and gardening guides, architectural and renovation-project photospreads, upcoming events, and even some recipes and shopping tips.

(Note: There is both an auto-renewal and a non-auto-renewal option, so make sure you've chosen the one you want in the Subscription Options box; auto-renewal will renew your subscription at whatever the going rate in 11 months is.)

It's definitely more for people who own their own home and have the ability to knock down walls or remodel a walk-in closet - something my landlord wouldn't be too thrilled about - but for the price, you apartment-dwellers might find it a fun aspirational leaf-through too.

Tanga: Garden Design subscription for $5.

Tanga has another fine magazine deal for us today... a one-year subscription to Garden Design magazine for just $5.  The product page shows $19.99, but use promo code GARDEN to snag the discount.

I'm pretty gardening-indifferent myself, but I know a few avid gardeners who might really enjoy this deal, and maybe you do too! Let those gardeners get started now on their ambitious backyard plans for next spring...

Amazon: SmartMoney subscription, $5.

Amazon's magazine deal of the week will save you money while teaching you how to save your money - it works on so many levels. Get a one-year subscription to SmartMoney magazine for just $5. Beware, though, this is one of those "auto-renewal" deals, so you'll have to keep an eye out for when it's about to expire, lest they renew you at whatever the subscription rate might be in 11 months from now.

Tanga: Kiplingers Personal Finance for $6.

Tanga's offering another magazine deal today - Kiplinger's Personal Finance for $6. Oh, it may say $14.99 right now, but use promo code FINANCE and watch the price magically drop!  If that's any sign of what this magazine can do for you, then I totally want in.

Amazon: This Old House subscription for $5.

Amazon's magazine deal of the week is This Old House - $5 for a one-year subscription. I've never really checked this magazine out, and it's probably not for me anyway, since I don't have a house... but if you like drooling over renovation projects and learn about landscaping, this might be a deal for you.

Tanga: Woman's Day subscription for $4.

Not sure how much longer this one will be good, but Tanga is offering a subscription to Woman's Day for $4 with promo code Women.

Apparently, even though it's called the "Deal of the Day," there are a limited number of subscriptions available, and once they're gone, they're gone. So if this one strikes your fancy, jump on it fast! I've used Tanga for subscriptions and it's on the up-and-up, despite the suspiciously low prices.

Borders: Buy 2 $25 gift cards, get a $10 gift card free.

It's June, and you know what that means... in addition to all the regular b-days or anniversaries you might be celebrating, there's also Father's Day (June 20) and lots of graduations. Borders wants to help you out with a bit of a discount on its gift cards: buy two $25 gift cards and get a $10 one free.

This really opens up the possibilities. You could give one to your dad, one to a grad, and keep the $10 one to blow on yourself. You could use the $10 to buy gift-card holders AND a cupcake-scented pen to sign them with. Or, if you have a bunch of young relatives graduating this year, give the $10 card to the one you like least and call it a life lesson. They'll thank you someday.

Amazon: Esquire $5 subscription.

Amazon's back with another magazine deal-of-the-week: a one-year subscription to Esquire for $5. This does come with auto-renewal, but now that Amazon keeps track of your magazines in its handy-dandy Subscription Manager, it's pretty easy to see when your subscription is about to expire, and cancel it before it auto-renews itself a year from now (unless you like it and decide to keep it going, of course).

Perfect for the fashionable gentledad in your life, or just any lucky fellow of your acquaintance.

Seattle: Po Dog $5 customer appreciation day.

Seattleites, have you been curious about Po Dog's crazy gourmet dogs? Well, maybe you should get on over there today, when every specialty dog is $5 as part of Customer Appreciation Day.

Now's the time to try that Wasabi Egg Roll Dog or Peanut Butter and Banana Dog you've had your eye on. Top it off with homemade potato chips, deep-fried pickles, and Mexican Coke for a health bomb.

Seattle: Capitol Hill Garage Sale, June 5.

Don't forget, the Capitol Hill community garage sale is coming up this Saturday, June 5. Sales start at 10 am, or whenever those hipsters can shake off their hangovers and set out their tiny clothes and kitschy vintage lamps.

They'll be releasing an official map any second now, so you can plan your shopping strategy. The best stuff always goes in the first hour, so set your alarms - I bet there will be some fabulous items on offer.
