Seattle: Meet designer Jason Wu, free dessert & champagne, April 15.

I'm no couture expert, but even I know the name of Jason Wu, the young Asian-American designer who created Michelle Obama's inaugural gown. Next Thursday, you can meet him here in Seattle at the downtown Nordstrom store, as he presents his new fall 2010 collection.

The event is Thursday, April 15, from 1 to 3 p.m. Customers are invited to mingle with Wu and shop the collection. Dessert and champagne will be served and there will be informal modeling of the clothes.

If I go, that will probably be the most fashionable I will ever be, in my whole life.
