Old Navy: $10 sweaters on Oct. 16, 7-10 am.

Old Navy is celebrating their sweet sixteen with a bunch of specials, and this latest one will appeal to you early birds: $10 on selected sweaters from 7:00 to 10:00 am on Oct. 16 (that's tomorrow).

It says there are sweaters for the whole family but doesn't specify which styles, so you'll just have to go and find out. I got a cashmere cardigan there last year that I really like, though somehow I suspect cashmere won't be in the $10 pile.

Here's a pretty nice coupon for 40% off everything at the Gap, even sale items. I've been looking for some fall work wardrobe staples, so maybe it's even worth suffering the horror of the fitting room for such steep discounts... maybe.

Dillard's: Try on Jessica Simpson jeans, get a free t-shirt.

You could say that it doesn't reflect very well on Jessica Simpson's denim line if consumers have to be bribed with free t-shirts to try them on. Then again, free is free, and I have been known to try on clothes even without the lure of freebies. True story!

Go to Dillard's, try on the jeans, and get a free layering t-shirt. Doesn't look like you need a coupon for this one, it's just while supplies last or through Aug. 14.

$2 camis at Old Navy, July 29-31.

Although it may not feel like it right now, in the middle of summer, camis are an essential layering piece for your fall and winter wardrobe. And why not stock up now for just $2 apiece? Old Navy is having a $2 "secret sale" on camis July 29-31. Print the coupon, or just go in and say "CAMI 4 ME" if that's the kind of thing you don't mind saying.

Well, this is one of the creepier freebies I've posted, I'll say that. American Apparel wants you to have a free thong, just for filling out the form and signing up for their e-newsletter.

Once you sign up, you'll get a confirmation email, which has a link that you click to choose your desired size. I picked "Go ahead and send me the biggest one you've got, because it probably won't fit me anyway." I can always use it as a wristband, right?

30% off everything at Old Navy through May 2.

Old Navy wants you to buy TONS of spring and summer clothes, even though the weather may not seem to require that just yet. (Although I did just get a swimsuit, using the power of the Internet to save me from fitting rooms.)

30% off everything in the entire store through Sunday, May 2. This deal can't be combined with other offers or promotions - so, for example, if there's also a 2-for-$10 deal on tank tops, you can't get the two-fer pricing AND the 30% discount on top of that - you must choose one or the other. But you can live with that, right?

Seattle: Bellevue Goodwill Designer Labels sale, 4/30-5/1.

Seattleites, if you love Goodwill's annual Glitter Sale, then you might want to check out the Designer Label Event this Friday and Saturday, Apr. 30 and May 1, at the Bellevue Goodwill. It's a two-day sale — from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. — of about 4,400 gently worn pieces from such brands as Ferragamo, Prada, 7 For All Mankind, Narcisco Rodriguez, Jimmy Choo, and Christian Louboutin.

Unlike the Glitter Sale, which is mostly for the ladies, this event will have more stuff for men and kids — but it's all designer labels, so while things may be marked up to 90% off, they still won't be, like, $2. However, the shelves will be continuously stocked both days, so there will be things to see no matter when you go.

I can't say I'm particularly fetishy about designer labels, but a bargain's a bargain, so this one could be fun to check out.
