Wow, it seems like Target just did their spring beauty bag promotion (although that one was kind of a mess, what with the random-promo-codes-on-receipts business) and here we are again with the summer beauty bag. If you were bummed out by last month's weird Target beauty bag giveaway, where apparently random purchases would spit out a promo code on your receipt that you had to look for and enter online in order to sign up for a sample bag blah blah blah... well, it's much easier this time.

This time the beauty sample bag giveaway is through Facebook, and it seems to be running slow right now, so check back until you get through.

Well, Garnier has been busy! Here's another free sample from them — this one for a 2-in-1 Wrinkle Reducer. I hope there's enough to spackle directly into my frown lines.

Gevalia is really making the rounds (grounds? HAHAHA) with their free coffee samples! So if you happened to miss the first two offers, now's your chance. I will accept unlimited quantities of free coffee samples, so this is no problem for me. Note: Target's website is apparently being a little weird in some browsers, so if it gives you any guff about "not being able to proceed without a code," try a different browser. The consensus seems to be that Firefox and Chrome won't work, but IE will, and Safari worked for me.

If you've received Target's beauty sample bags in the past, there's a new offer going on right now — but it works a little differently. Throughout the month of March, promo codes will randomly print on shoppers' receipts; enter that code on the sample page and you'll be able to sign up for your sample bag. Target claims that the codes are completely random and not tied to purchasing a certain number of beauty products, but other bloggers have noted that paying via debit card seems to improve your chances. So if you shop at Target this month, read your receipt carefully!

Target: Free $10 gift card with $75 purchase.

The Target gift card offer is back, in a slightly less appealing form... this time you'll have to spend $75 in order to get the free $10 gift card. Still, if you're buying a couple of gifts and some holiday dinner groceries, maybe some candy or wrapping paper, it won't be hard to hit the minimum purchase!

Offer is valid from Friday, Dec. 16, at 5:00 pm through noon on Dec. 17, so choose your shopping times wisely...

Here's a deal that I won't have any trouble qualifying for... it is not hard at all to rack up $50 at Target on things I simply must have (especially since they have surprisingly good prices on baking supplies).

Target is getting into the sample game with a free sample offer for Garnier Moisture Rescue Gel Cream. This stuff is somewhat pricey in stores, so trying a free sample first couldn't hurt.

I got quite a few samples in the mail while I was on vacation, which was a fun bonus to come back to, so between using up body wash and lotion samples and eating snacks, my day is fully booked.

I just happened to see this deal in the Target weekly ad - check your ad to see if you have it too. On the very last page (or wherever the food specials are), there's a sale on Pepsi sodas: get five 12-packs of cans for $15 ($3 each, already a good deal) and then get a $5 Target gift card on top of that!

Five 12-packs sounds like a lot, but that includes regular Pepsi, diet Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper (and diet), that weird Pepsi Max, and probably even more that I'm forgetting. If you plan on having just one BBQ or party this summer, you'll be totally covered with something for everyone! And you can keep that gift card all to yourself.

Target has plenty of reusable bags to choose from, and the basic model is 99 cents, so you're essentially trading in 5 plastic bags for a nice, new, sturdy, reusable one that will last for years. Plus, Target - and many other stores - give you $0.05 off your purchase every time you use a reusable bag. Every little bit helps!

I'm sure you've got this one marked on your freebie calendar, but just in case it slipped your mind, Target is giving out 1.5 million reusable shopping bags on Sunday, April 18 to kick off Earth Week. The bags are pretty cute - bright green with a fun eco-design - and they look pretty spacious and sturdy. I use Target's regular reusable 99-cent shopping bags, have had mine for several years, and regularly get compliments from checkers at other stores on the cute design.

I'll take any excuse to go to Target, really, so the greenwashing of my rationalizations is just eco-icing on the shoppers' cake.
