On the other hand, Slate has an interesting article about which Black Friday specials aren't worth their SUPER UNBELIEVABLE EXTRA LOW SLASHTACULAR prices. If you were toying with the idea of getting an e-book reader, netbook, or other high-tech gadget this year, read this before you set your alarm.
I used to get dragged out at the crack of Black Friday dawn by my shopaholic relatives, and now that I have a choice in the matter, I never will again. But if your sleep is worth that extra $20 off an HDTV, by all means, go ahead.
