9500% off at Restaurants.com OMG!!!

Ahem, sorry. I got a little carried away there. It's just that Restaurants.com makes savings sound so EXCITING!

Actually I'm a little dubious about this whole deal, but evidently how it works is you buy heavily discounted gift certificates to a certain restaurant, which are maybe valid with minimum purchase amounts at some participating restaurants. Essentially, you're buying a BOGO coupon, so think about what that's worth to you before you buy these "gift certificates." Also, during the checkout process they try and get you to agree to sign up for some monthly scammy service called Shopping Essentials or some such. You're fine if you just uncheck that box, but make sure you pay attention or you'll have to fight it out later with getting it canceled.

To celebrate 9/9/09, they're having a special discount where you can get a $25 certificate for $1 with promo code NINETY. There are some decent restaurants in the Seattle area, so if you're willing to jump through the rules 'n' restrictions hoops, try it out.
