Burt's Bees lip balm giveaway - now more random.

Apparently enough people complained about the unfair head start that the Burt's Bees giveaway was handing to East Coasters by having a daily limit of 1,000 AND having the giveaway start at 9:00 am EDT (i.e., 6:00 am PDT for us chumps). So they've changed the rules of the game a bit.

"The giveaway starts anytime between 9 a.m. and 12 noon EDT but no one knows exactly when! To equal the odds and give you the fairest chance at a free balm, we've randomized the giveaway to start anytime between 9 a.m. and 12 noon EDT. It could be anytime. For instance -- it may be 9:15 AM one day, 10:25 AM the next, or 11:51 AM the day after! We don't know either - and that's what makes it fun! And if you don't get it one day, you'll get your chance. The balm giveaway goes through June 20, 2009."

So now they're forcing you to keep checking back and refreshing your browser all morning until their "randomizer" starts the daily allotment. This has some sinister overtones to me, but I guess it's fairer than just screwing the West Coast every day. Anyway, you have about two more weeks to score a free lip balm, so go to it.
