I'm of mixed minds about the Restaurant.com thing, but I know some of you out there are fans, so I thought you should know you can get a $25 gift certificate for $2 with promo code MEAL.
If you're not familiar with this, how it works is you buy a "gift certificate" for a participating restaurant, which is actually more like a coupon because it usually excludes alcohol and requires a minimum purchase. For example, many of them require a $35 total purchase to apply the discount. You're still getting $25 off your bill, but with all the restrictions, I think it's effectively more like you're purchasing a coupon for $2.
Still, there are a lot of participating restaurants, so if you see one you've been meaning to try anyway, it could be a good deal. Just make sure to read all the fine print on each offer, and be ready to possibly get a sniffy reception when you present your gift certificate/coupon.
